- Sub: RE - Your views on printing
-
- I saw Joost's reply after I sent my first message. His idea should work fine
- as long as you shuffle your views BEFORE you enter the print method. Once the
- grafport has been changed to the printer it is dangerous to manipulate views.
- In particular if you resize a view and you are going to a postscript printer
- you will crash. The reason is that resizing invalidates the old region and
- regions are a no-no on postscript printer. To quote Inside Mac V2, "For
- printing to the LaserWriter...regions aren't supported." That is all they say.
- Some region operations succeed and others don't. Which ones? MacDTS couldn't
- tell me. All this applies to both mine and Joost's ideas, I just forgot to
- mention it earlier.
